Pictures from a stroll in Budapest.

One afternoon after putting Andrew to sleep and leaving him in my parents care, Drew and I went out to just revisit the streets and sights of Budapest. It was nice to be able to have some time for us. Budapest is getting ready to add another metro line to the other three already existing. There was a lot of construction going on and some of the tram lines were closed down. We did a lot of walking only to find out on our way back that there were buses that have taken the place of the trams where it was closed down. Oh well, we had a good work out that day!

Vaci utca (one of the main streets in the heart of Budapest). You will find a lot of tourists on this street and also a lot of vendors that cater to tourists.

Drew near the Danube right in front of Elizabeth bridge. Budapest used to be two separate cities, Buda and Pest. Hungarian people say that Buda and Pest were married by nine bridges in the eighteen century. The bridges are beautiful and one especially (the Chain Bridge) has lots of lights on at night! It is truly a magical city!

There are a lot of boats that will take cruises up and down the Danube. In the distance there is another old bridge called the Freedom bridge.

We went to eat dessert to a very old and famous Patisserie in Budapest. It is called the Gerbeaud. Lots of tourists there too!!! An American couple took this picture of us. They were from LA and the lady worked and lived in Budapest for at least ten years right after the government change. Very interesting!!!

The dessert that we shared. We also had some cake while eating there.

Hey Marta,
I saved your number in my phone, so I'll call you tomorrow or you call me back. Tonight was crazy getting in from Dollywood and getting them ready for bed.
