Fun in the smokies....

Our friend Dale owns a cabin in the mountains and in honor of our anniversary she let us stay there for a weekend. The kids went to Aunt Dana for the night and Drew and I got to experience how it is to be without kids....
Eating at Calhoun's in Gatlinburg!:) and staying out late....

Drew had to play some games before we left

behind us is the beautiful view of the valley...

in Gatlinburg we rode the ski lift ( i guess that is what its called) all the way to the top and back

Gatlinburg Inn is a very old hotel (one of the first ones) that we got a tour of. The staff was very friendly and took pride in their work and place to work. The hotel is still owned by this old lady that started the hotel with her husband in the 40's

this is the room where "Rocky Top" was composed

for lunch we ate at the Bubba Shrimp place (from the Forrest Gump movie) then we had to go get the kids from Kingsport.
It was a very fun weekend and it was nice to reconnect and be able to talk without being interrupted or to eat a dinner without having to hurry!:)))))
Thank you all (Dale, Dana and families) for giving us a great weekend!:)

do we really have to go now????
